《ABC News》周二 (12日) 報導，有時候一個字詞在字典中的定義就是不夠精確，而蘋果 (Apple Inc.)(AAPL-US) 字典現也因為對於「同性戀」(gay) 字詞註解爭議，淌上了一攤渾水。

來自麻薩諸塞州林肯－薩德伯里高中 (Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School) 的女學生 Becca Gorman，於撰寫同性戀權利議題論文時，在她的 MacBook 上看到了具攻擊性的字眼。查詢「gay」一詞的定義時，蘋果字典竟包含非正式的輕蔑用法，稱其代表愚蠢或魯鈍。

Gorman 接受《ABC News》採訪時說到：「這完全是種侮辱，我根本無法理解為什麼會出現這種查詢結果。」

這位學生的雙親正是女同志，她書寫一封電子郵件寄予蘋果執行長庫克 (Tim Cook)，表示自己反對字典上列入這種非正式定義，並稱：「我相信他也會有同感，蘋果是一間對同志友善的公司。」

讓她驚訝的是，不到 1 小時她就收到蘋果公司的回電，公司代表說對於這種攻擊性定義也感到很震驚，但很難追蹤其字典定義來源，它們將著手研討這個問題。

庫克近期在《華爾街日報》上寫了一篇專欄文章，鼓勵國會支持就業反歧視法案，內容指出：「對於促進平等和多元性的保護，不應受個人的性取向所左右。只要法律仍對職場上的同性戀權益保持沉默，我們就等於是一個縱容歧視的國家。」

盡管庫克立場如此，且蘋果企業本身普遍抱持反歧視政策，但這項「愚蠢」定義現在卻仍然掛在蘋果字典上，公司亦未回應《ABC News》的詢問。

Gorman 雖然訝異蘋果迅速給出回應，但她也認為要刪除該定義項目，或許還得花上一番功夫，她表示：「我想在它們真正採取行動前，可能需要作出一些影響更廣的協議。」

台糖從2007年開始委託大統長基代工生產葡萄籽油，卻因此捲入混油風暴；台糖今向彰化檢方提出告訴，並向大統長基公司和董事長高振利求償4631萬元。

彰化檢方查出高振利從2007年開始生產的葡萄籽油，都摻混葵花油、芥子油、大豆油及棉籽油，橄欖油系列也摻雜銅葉綠素，10月25日偵結起訴時，列出大統長基公司七年來不法所得共18.5億元；今天彰化地方法院開庭時，檢察官提出補充理由，將不法所得追列為20.16億元。

但高振利的辯護律師說，從2004年到去年，大統長基公司每年結算的盈利才1.8億元，高振利和公司被檢方扣押的31筆不動產，只有2筆分別是2007、2010年購買，以餘都是民國6、70年間就擁有，怎能列為不法所得而扣押？
