社群媒體做為一個傳遞資訊的平台是非常有效率的，但是它也可能造成不必要的恐慌或是傳遞出錯誤的資訊。畢竟客觀來說，「太有效率」有時代表著「尚未謹慎處理」。

回頭去檢查一下你的 Facebook 和推特的所有轉貼連結，每一則轉貼的訊息與內容你都有查證過嗎？

還記得曾經「質詢」教育部的清大生的陳為廷吧？今年四月他因為未經查證轉貼了一則「隨機綁架小孩」的訊息造成當地民眾恐慌，後來警方調查發現是假消息而遭函送。美國也有很多轉貼錯誤訊息的例子：

韓亞航空飛機墜落時，機身「翻轉」？

前幾天韓亞航空的飛機在舊金山失事，當時有個目擊者在推特上説自己看到飛機墜落時「翻轉」。雖然無法證實飛機墜落的狀況到底為何，但這個説法比起實際狀況所造成的傷害還要嚴重很多，並且已在短時間內散布到世界各地、造成民眾的恐慌。

面對這樣的情況，我們應該妥善運用社群媒體，讓它成為向你的親朋好友報平安的媒介；若是危機尚未解除，更要借助社群媒體的力量警告可能受波及的群眾。不論如何，都應當謹慎發言，絕不誇大渲染。

槍擊案嫌犯是弟弟，哥哥卻受眾人圍剿？

美國康乃狄克州，案發當時正在工作的 Ryan Lanza，因為不實謠言而被錯當成是學校槍擊案的犯案者，但事實上犯下這起案件的人是小他四歲弟弟 Adom。受到眾人輿論的 Ryan Lanza 只好趕緊在 Facebook 上澄清：「那不是我！」

这天上午6:30分，车主开着纳智捷大7，车上坐着4个人，在经过贵州赤水边开车边打电话，当时天还黑着，就开到山下去了，车翻下山14多米远，车子翻了三翻，结果车上4个人一点事都没有！

【王家俊／台北報導】陸軍下士洪仲丘枉死案，1985公民行動聯盟曾於7月20日發起包圍國防部活動，有3萬人自發性響應，聯盟將在洪仲丘公祭前一天，8月3日晚間6時在凱達格蘭大道前舉辦「萬人送行晚會」，呼籲公民站出來送仲丘最後一程。 聯盟今晚公部首波宣導短片，質疑「國防怖」睜眼說瞎話，要總統馬英九負完全責任。

聯盟發言人邱先生說，洪案發生近一個月，軍方追真相的承諾沒做到，國防部改革沒誠意，沒有第三方機制，8月3日聚集凱道，不只追真相，還要總統馬英九負全責，提人權改革方案。他表示，首波影片是幾個學生，花30幾小時剪出來的，未來還會有第二、第三波，凱道聚會不預設人數，盼踴躍響應。

1985行動聯盟對凱道活動聲明說，讓政府看見人民的憤怒與不滿，才能使仲丘的犧牲，給社會留下更多制度面的改革。他的犧牲，才能保護更多服役的台灣青年不受迫害。聯盟呼籲，政府於8月3日前具體回應，當天參與朋友才能安心送仲丘好走。「總統身為三軍統帥，對於軍中人權責無旁貸，日後軍中若再有人權相關問題，總統應直接負起完全責任！」
