南非金礦工會拒加薪案威脅罷工

法新社報導，南非金礦工會24日憤怒拒絕資方調薪5%的提議，準備交付仲裁，且有意發動大罷工。金礦工會發表聲明說，包括「安格魯金礦」和「金礦公司」在內幾家主要資方的加薪提議「太少」。

德國央行：估第2季經濟強勁擴張

【連欣儀／綜合外電報導】德國央行發布月報指出，受惠於工業生產和建築業看俏，估德國經濟第2季強勁擴張，但第3季經濟可能會放緩。
德國央行尚未公布第2季經濟數據。該月報稱：「德國經濟在2013年年初因為天氣因素表現疲軟，但近期的經濟數據已印證會在第2季強勁擴張。就第3季而言，已有越來越多的跡象表明經濟增速正在放緩。」

這8組英文字，你一定會念錯！

我們先前舉過不少發音錯誤的例子，包含品牌名稱、人名，還有一些你以為理所當然，於是就唸錯了發音。今天再幫讀者整理出八組容易混淆的發音，有些是音近，但意思完全不同，例如：把I am full講成了I am (a) fool，明明是飽了，聽起來像是駡自己傻子，很尷尬。有些唸錯的原因是詞性轉換，字的發音也跟著變換，沒特別留心就容易講錯！
1. Analyze，analysis
這組字是很多人的罩門。
analyze是動詞，重音在第一音節，唸成[ˋænəl͵aɪz]
analysis是名詞，重音在第二個音節，唸成[əˋnæləsɪs]
會誤唸兩個字的人，economy economic多半也會唸錯，名詞economy [ɪˋkɑnəmɪ]，形容詞economic唸成[͵ikəˋnɑmɪk]。
2. Product，produce
講英文有一個原則，越是簡單的字越不要唸錯。這兩個字都簡單。Product是名詞，意思產品，重音在第一音節，唸成[ˋprɑdəkt]，O要發成[ɑ]，動詞produce [prəˋdjus]，很多人會把名詞和動詞混唸在一起。抽象的名詞production（生產量），唸錯的反而少。
3. Employer，employee
意思是僱主、老闆，這個字是從動詞「僱用」employ加上一個er組合而成的，只要把employ和er加起來發音即可，唸成[ɪmˋplɔɪɚ]，很多人很自動省略掉y的聲音，直接唸成emplore，這是錯誤的讀法。至於employee，要唸成[͵ɛmplɔɪˋi]，注意第一個e的發音是[ɛ]。
4. Coward，Howard
很多人想當然爾，把ward發得像"ward" 或 "word"，它的發音是輕音的 "ard"，w不發音。 Coward是膽小鬼，唸成[ˋkaʊɚd] ，Howard是人名，中文譯成霍華，其實是誤導，它的發音是 [ˋhaʊɚd]，「豪爾」更接近。
5. Innovation，innovative
中間的no ，不要唸成 "no"，要唸輕聲，接近中文的「呢」。Innovation唸成[͵ɪnəˋveʃən]，變成了形容詞innovative，注意，重音變成第一音節，[ˋɪno͵vetɪv]，有沒有發現no的o發音也變成了[o]？
6. Police，please
這兩個字意思完全不一樣，不要唸錯了。警察police，兩個音節，重音在後面 "o" 要輕輕唸，唸成[pə'lis] 。please意思是請，唸成[pliz]。
7. Fool，full
這兩個字的差別在母音的長短。發音錯了有時會難堪。像說I am full.（我吃飽了），聽起來像I am a fool.（我是個蠢才），fool，傻瓜，唸法是[ful]，oo要發長音；full，滿了，唸法是[fʊl]，母音很短。
8. Ear，year
這兩個字的讀音很接近，但是仔細辨別會發現其實首字母的發音完全不同，耳朵ear [ɪr] 是「一」的音，年year [jɪr]是「耶」的音，有點像我們講yes的嘴型。

去年參加示威 香港少女出境竟被拘捕

【綜合報導】2012年4/1參與中聯辦示威被捕的香港少女邱嘉俞（Iris Yau），今天在羅湖出境時，被警方以非法集結罪名拘捕，晚間在西區警署，等待律師協助。 根據「主場新聞」報導，邱嘉俞晚上9時許在臉書上報平安表示，多謝大家關心，暫不接受訪問。
據了解，邱嘉俞將被移送打鼓嶺警署，或轉送中區警署。

實習記者周靚／綜合報導 紐約市長候選人威納（Anthony Weiner）紐約時間23日又爆出性醜聞，八卦網站「The Dirty」爆料指出，威納「在網路上化名『危險卡羅斯』（Carlos Danger），和22歲年輕女子維持長達6個月的網路性愛關係，並傳送裸露性器官的照片給對方。」威納坦言不諱，但他表示，絕不退出市長選戰。 據中央社報導，醜聞曝光之後，威納第一時間發表聲明，他承認這一切，並表示對妻子阿貝定（Huma Abedin）的歉意。隨後，他與妻子一同召開記者會，表示會繼續參選。此外，感謝妻子阿貝定的支持。 年輕女子表示，威納承諾會幫她找工作，並在芝加哥幫她找間套房以便兩人往來。據網路公佈的訊息來看，兩者的關係從去(2012)年8月開始。該女子得知威納要角逐紐約市長職務，她決定揭露這一切，讓民眾看清威納真面目。 2011年，威納因傳送個人不雅照片給多名女性，而被迫辭去紐約州聯邦眾議員職務。威納在2013年5月宣佈要參選紐約市長職務，以期重返政壇。隨後，在民主黨候選人民調中，他數度擊敗原先呼聲最高的紐約市議會議長柯魁英（Christine Quinn）。 民眾曾表示，政客的私生活不一定要和政績相關聯，只要有政績，還是願意給第二次機會。但是，如今，威納仍有這類不當行為，不知悔改，不知選民態度是否會有改變。

中小面板Q3季增 估8年新低

（中央社記者潘智義台北22日電）電子產業研究機構DIGITIMES Research預估，台灣面板廠訂單遭侵蝕，第3季中小尺寸面板出貨量預估為3.73億片，較第2季成長3.2%，為2005年以來第3季最低的季成長率。 DIGITIMES Research分析師楊仁杰指出，第3季為中小尺寸面板傳統旺季，除大陸智慧型手機市場需求將持續成長外，國際大廠手機及平板電腦面板需求也開始浮現。 楊仁杰分析，由於智慧型手機、高階平板電腦將陸續往較大尺寸、全高清畫質（Full HD）發展，客戶較傾向使用低溫多晶矽（LTPS）面板。 他說，今年第3季台灣中小尺寸面板預估出貨量3.73億片，雖仍較第2季成長3.2%，但較去年第3季同期衰退1.1%。 另外，2013年第3季台廠生產中小尺寸面板應用別中，成長幅度最大的應用別是數位相框、可攜式DVD等低階中尺寸面板，分別將較前1季成長28.2%及15.7%，主因為前1季面板庫存清空，基期較低；可攜式個人導航設備（PND）因第2季出貨較高，面板庫存堆積，第3季出貨將較第2季衰退3.9%。 DIGITIMES Research指出，第4季為中小尺寸面板傳統淡季，出貨量將較第3季衰退6.5%，且所有主要應用別均將受淡季效應影響衰退。 整體來看，2013年下半年台廠中小尺寸面板出貨量，將僅較上半年成長1.5%。1020722
