日經225指數19日受美國道瓊創新高、日圓走貶提振而以紅盤(14,909.76點)開出，之後因指數接近15,000點重要心理關卡引發了結獲利賣壓，加上受日圓轉強、期貨賣壓湧現、以及市場靜待日本參院大選和G20財長/央行總裁會議結果，拖累指數翻黑下挫。日經225指數終場跌1.48%(或跌218.59點)，收14,589.91點，結束連5個交易日上揚態勢、並創6月20日(下跌1.74%)以來最大單日跌幅紀錄；週線漲0.58%，連續第5週走揚。日經今日盤中最高一度漲至14,953點，較6月13日(當日日經跌入熊市)低點12,415點彈升了20.4%進入牛市。

東證一部指數(TOPIX)終場跌0.82%(或跌10.03點)，收1,211.98點，為5個交易日來首度下挫。東證一部上漲家數220家、下跌家數1,474家、維持平盤家數59家；全部33類股中4類股上揚、29類股下挫，其中以非鐵金屬、海運業和證券商品期貨類股跌幅較大。

東證一部今日成交額為3兆1,082億日圓，連續第10個交易日突破2兆日圓大關、並為6月14日以來首度突破3兆日圓大關；成交量為36.4億股，持續超越顯示買氣活絡界線的「20億股」水準。

根據嘉實XQ全球贏家系統報價，截至日本股市19日收盤為止(台北時間14點00分為止)美元兌日圓報100.04(昨日收盤為上揚0.96%至100.50)，稍早最高一度漲至100.86。日圓轉強拖累出口股走跌。Sony跌0.27%，收2,188日圓。

夏普逆勢漲0.86%，收467日圓。日經新聞19日報導，正進行營運重整的夏普考慮向日本住宅設備大廠LIXIL Group及電動工具廠Makita提出入股要求，希望LIXIL及Makita能分別對夏普出資100億日圓。報導指出，除有意拉日企入股之外，為了改善因巨額虧損而傷痕累累的財務體質，夏普也考慮以海外機關投資人為對象進行公募增資，增資規模可能將超過1,000億日圓。

任天堂逆勢大漲3.52%，收13,510日圓。日本遊戲產業市調機構Media Create 19日公布統計數據指出，上週(7月8-14日)任天堂(Nintendo)Wii U遊戲機日本銷售量達2萬2,199台，較前一週(7月1-7日)的8,251台暴增了169%，連續第3週呈現增長、且結束銷售量連9週不到萬台的窘境。
