台中市西屯區永安國小推動書法二十四年，卓然有成。總統馬英九下午(二十五號)到校參觀，沒有抗議場面，小朋友高喊總統好，總統難得輕鬆，和孩童親切互動。看到學生認真寫書法的模樣，總統說：非常感動，他表示，書法是中華文化的獨特藝術，希望學校、政府、民間一起努力，普及書法教育，文化代代相傳。

總統馬英九週五下午(二十五號) 到台中市永安國小，觀摩學校的書法教育成績，小學生熱情高喊總統好，在副市長徐中雄陪同下，參訪學校獨特的書法教育環境，包括特色寫滿書法的碑牆、耕讀園、耘墨齋、永安館，並欣賞歷年來優秀師生的書法作品，在書法教室時，還彎腰專注欣賞學生寫書法，對於張益翔小朋友的書法，印象深刻，直說很感動。總統說，書法是中華文化的獨特藝術，別的國家少有，不該輕忽它，而是要傳承下去。看到學生認真模樣，他說，小朋友寫了書法就會一輩子寫下去，不會忘記，因此肯定永安國小推動書法的用心。總統特別致贈一百萬，補助永安國小興建墨耘書法館。

馬總統也以自己為例，他說，從小在父母要求下，勤練書法直到高中，起初頗以為苦，但長大後才發現效益無窮，他舉例，三十二年前到總統府工作，發現很多長官都是用毛筆批閱公文，那時起，自己也跟進，用毛筆批寫公文。馬總統期許學校政府民間一起努力，普及書法教育，文化代代相傳。

永安國小致贈總統永安四寶，包含書法社團服裝、書籤、書藝名片盒、真善美提袋，馬總總則回贈文鎮和馬氏家訓，期勉同學。

永安國小校長徐大偉表示，永安推動書法教育二十四年，目前每週一堂書法課。

據報導，中國大陸廣東省汕頭市警方日前在下轄的澄海區查獲1萬3721支仿真槍，這些仿冒品具有槍枝性能。

南方日報今天在報導中表示，22日上午，澄海警方派出60名警員突擊檢查多個地點，當場檢獲這些仿真槍及相關配件。

調查顯示，嫌犯是以玩具廠為掩護，非法製造具有槍枝性能的鐵質仿真槍。

報導沒有說明這些仿真槍的流向及用途。

【李忠謙／綜合外電報導】大同大學工設系學生陳宥鍀、林慶璍、林大智、謝易帆在2013德國紅點概念設計獎贏得「BEST OF THE BEST」獎項，台灣設計師的作品更搶進前3名，差點贏得「紅點之星」（luminary）。今年共有來自57國、共4394件作品參賽，202件作品入選紅點設計概念獎，49件獲選「Best of the Best」。

據大同大學設計頻道稱，陳宥鍀與林慶璍利用傳統榫接技術「魯班鎖」，打造出具有超現實感的「高腳椅」（作品名稱：弄榫）。林大智、謝易帆作品「清轉合」：利用水泥和竹子製作具有「外型」、保留素材原始風格的椅子。兩者均受到評審青睞。

據中央社報導，台灣設計者Ta-chin Danny Lin的作品「Lenify」更搶進前3名，和紐西蘭與中國大陸參賽者共同角逐最高榮譽「紅點之星」。Lenify設計的組合式擔架，可減少傷者移動過程中受到的二次傷害，最後紅點之星被紐西蘭梅西大學（Massey University）創意美術學院贏走。
