【李寧怡／綜合外電報導】美國舊金山灣區捷運系統（Bay Area Rapid Transit，BART）兩名維修工人，周六在檢查軌道時不幸遭一輛列車撞死。灣區捷運系統工會前天開始發動罷工，並未對乘客提供服務，不過兩名死者似乎不是工會成員，周六仍照常上班。
 
《舊金山紀事報》報導，這兩名員工一人是正職人員，一人是約聘員工，當時因軌道疑有傾斜狀況，前往檢查。BART發言人表示，肇事列車有資深司機駕駛，但當時處於自動行駛狀態。發言人指出，通常進行軌道檢查工作時，會由一人檢修，一人監看是否有列車駛近。兩名死者都是經驗豐富的維修人員，事故原因尚待調查。

【陳亮諭／綜合報導】台中1名陳姓電腦工程師(33歲)，坐靠窗處辦公，每天太陽西移就曬到他的右臉，每天至少日曬4小時、曬了10年，半年前他右眼視力變差，就醫發現竟是單眼白內障，手術後恢復。

《蘋果》報導，中國附醫眼科部主任蔡宜佑說，白內障是水晶體混濁致視力不良，過去是「老年人的眼疾」，建議逾30歲的近視民眾，若單眼短時間內度數暴增，可能出現白內障前期水晶體硬化，應立即就醫。醫生提醒，烈日下務必戴太陽眼鏡、帽子防曬，以免視力受損。

【蘇威全╱綜合報導】日本女星酒井法子今天參加人氣諧星明石家秋刀魚主持的談話節目受訪，很受明石家疼愛的法子，節目中被問到現在幾歲了，法子回說：「42歲。」引來明石家驚呼，說：「哪有這麼可愛的42歲，可以趕快考慮再婚哦！」逗得法子笑得十分開心。

法子出道至今，先後上過該節目5次，10幾歲時她還在節目中大秀廚藝，現場做起拿手菜馬鈴薯燉肉，當時讓明石家大讚好吃，這次她特別預先做好馬鈴薯燉肉，帶到節目讓明石家重溫美味，讓他相當感動。
