我們都失敗過

我們都曾失敗過。搶玩具、大隊接力、鋼琴比賽、追女朋友、聯考、買五月天票、公司提案、推銷客戶、買結婚紀念日禮物、解除別人黨職等等。我們都失敗過。

失敗雖然不好過，但「至少我們都學到了經驗，下次會更好」。大部分父母是這樣安慰自己的，而且說得也沒錯。

《精實創業》（Lean Startup）一書的作者 Eric Ries 也失敗過。他創立的 IMVU （一個主打客製分身（avatar）的社交網路）在寫完30萬行的程式碼，花費團隊大半年努力之後，最終也失敗了。

失敗之後，他一開始也自我安慰：『至少我們學到了客戶真正需要的是什麼。下次創業會更成功。』說得也沒錯。

但跟一般人不同的是，Eric Ries 一轉念，又自問了第二個問題：

『等等，當初是不是有其他的方法，可以讓我更快的學到客戶真正需要的是什麼？』

這個問題非常重要，也非常聰明 — 如果結果都一樣，都是學到東西，難道非要寫30萬行程式碼、花費大半年努力嗎？難道沒有更聰明的作法？

點出這個問題非常傑出，顯示了聰明人跟我這種人的思維差距。用流程圖來說，是如果想要 A，卻得到 B；一般人會檢討下次該如何才能得到 A。但聰明的人卻會發現其實 B 才是真正有用的東西，A 根本建立在錯誤的假設上。那麼，當初有沒有更快達到 B 的方式？

用鋼琴比賽來比喻。假設小華參加鋼琴比賽，輸了。一般情況下小華會思考「下一次該如何努力才能贏得鋼琴比賽」。但比較聰明的小陸卻可能發現「我天生缺乏音感，要贏得鋼琴比賽根本是緣木求魚」，但「比賽學習到的台風、冷靜的能力」卻非常有用。那麼有沒有辦法在不需要每天練鋼琴5小時的狀況下，就能獲得台風跟冷靜呢？

換句話說，不但要檢討失敗的原因，還要檢討失敗的效率。既然會失敗，為何沒有快點失敗？一個能不斷縮短練鋼琴時間的小朋友，必定成長得比別人傑出。

【王家俊／台北報導】內政部政次蕭家淇下午在例行記者會上說，為落實「國土計畫法草案」精神，在立法通過前，將依據現行《區域計畫法》精神，把現行北中南東四個區域計畫，整合為「全國區域計畫」及18個轄區內有非都市用地的「直轄市、縣（市）區域計畫」二層級。10月起辦理公聽會，預計明年起陸續審議、核定及公告實施。

此外，蕭家淇說，截至前年底止，各縣市都市計畫內可容納2512萬人，目前只有1873萬人，尚可容納639萬人，現行都市計畫用地供過於求，「都市土地畫太多了！」且各地自擬都市計畫太過零散，例如新北市有46個、台中市有31個區域計畫，應予整合，未來非都市土地申請新訂或擴大都市計畫，內政部更審慎審查其合理性、必要性，並作總量管制。
