睽違歌壇9年，杜德偉將發行新專輯，首波主打歌《想要快樂》，公器私用，藉由擔任台視、三立《超級接班人》評審之便，邀請8位具有潛力的選手參與MV拍攝。去年迎娶美嬌娘的他，曾訂下2014年生子計劃，昨（23日）被追問進度時，他笑說：「大家都叫我們生小孩，我跟我老婆都有點叛逆，大家越叫我生小孩，我越不要生。」還扯好友鍾鎮濤60歲還能生小孩，自己也一定行。
婚後，杜德偉依舊忙工作，又是開潮店設計衣服，又是擔任評審，現在又要出專輯，不怕沒時間陪老婆？「能者多勞，老婆跟我一起忙，我做的事，她也很喜歡。」至於生子計劃又因發專輯而延後，被問到不怕到時生不出來，他說：「所以我娶一個年輕的老婆，B哥（鍾鎮濤）60歲還大喜臨門，我不怕。」而他也坦言有避孕，直說：「會避一下，有時侯會鬧著好玩說，先試試看不避了，看有沒有，結果都沒有。」

等了9年再發新專輯，杜德偉製作、寫詞、選歌樣樣自己來，歷經父母過世以及結婚大事，因此專輯裡頭的歌曲充滿了他的人生故事，「每首歌都有一個故事，歷經的人生大事都會放在專輯中，我覺得音樂裡頭真心是最重要的。」

新歌《想要快樂》找來8位《超級接班人》選手一起飆舞拍MV，不怕體力不如年輕人，他笑說：「跳舞很奇妙，你在跳的時候不會想到體力，只會想到享受那個節奏，還好，他們給我很多力量。」
