錢鼠染狂犬病　農委會：問題變棘手

【生活中心／台北報導】農委會驗出錢鼠也感染狂犬病毒，農委會特生中心動物組長鄭錫奇晚間表示，錢鼠在台灣十分普遍，只要有人活動的地方就有錢鼠，在都會區錢鼠會吃廚餘，和人類接觸的機會比鼬獾等野生動物多很多，和貓、犬接觸的機率也倍增，錢鼠染病會使問題變得很複雜棘手。
 
鄭錫奇說，錢鼠是食蟲目動物，文獻上很少有食蟲目動物感染狂犬病毒的紀錄；錢鼠繁殖速度快，約１個多月生１胎，１胎生3、4隻幼鼠，雖然沒有人正式統計過數量，但住家附近幾乎都可見到錢鼠蹤跡，因此數量肯定很可觀，建議相關單位應立即調查錢鼠狂犬病的感染率，以掌握疫情擴散程度。
