一、「精簡扼要」，的意思是「(行文或發言)精練簡要切中肯綮」，目前尚未列入《教育部國語辭典》。
但有語意相似的成語：
(1).簡明扼要
精簡明白，能抓住重點。如：「報告切莫囉嗦冗雜，應以簡明扼要為重。」
(2).辭簡意足
用辭精簡而含意深遠。元˙白珽˙湛淵靜語˙卷二：*如此數卷，辭簡意足，一坐駭然。*
二、「精簡扼要」的意思的解釋：
(1)精簡 ㄐ｜ㄥ ㄐ｜ㄢˇ
1.精心選擇。南史˙卷六十一˙陳慶之傳：「陳天康中，徐陵為吏部尚書，精簡人物，縉紳之士皆嚮慕焉。」
2. 精練簡要。宋˙文同˙秦詔詩：「文章既精簡，字畫亦佳妙。」
(2).扼要 ㄜˋ ｜ㄠˋ
1. 控制要衝。唐˙沈亞之˙京兆府試進士策問：「邐迤數千里之間，壁衝扼要之戎，百有餘城。」
2.行文或發言切中肯綮。如：「他這段論述真可說是簡明扼要。」
(3). 「精簡扼要」
(行文或發言)精練簡要切中肯綮。
