南台國家海洋門戶　高港旅運中心週末動土

【李菁豪／高雄報導】近年來，亞洲地區興起搭郵輪旅遊的風氣，也為郵輪產業帶來龐大的經濟效益。臺灣港務公司斥資41.43億元新台幣籌建的「高雄港埠旅運中心」第一標建築工程，本週六將於高雄港19和20號碼頭舉辦動土典禮，全部工程預計可於2017年6月完工。

臺灣港務公司高雄港務分公司表示，營運後配合現有17至21號碼頭長度726公尺、水深10.5公尺等碼頭設施，將可供國際郵輪、兩岸渡輪或國內客輪等同時靠泊，尖峰時段服務通關旅客人數可達每小時2500人以上。

高雄港埠旅運中心由美國紐約知名建築師Jesse Reiser和台灣宗邁建築師事務所，共同規劃設計，為地下2層、地上15層的建築物，上部採鋼骨結構，外掛曲面造型之金屬玻璃帷幕牆，未來施工時將具高度的挑戰性及技術性。
