​老舊莒光號起火　250人誤行程可退費

台鐵一列老舊莒光號上午行經新竹站時突然冒煙出現火花，台鐵公開致歉，250人可全額退費，台鐵表示，事故疑因車上配電盤接觸器端子電線老化過熱所致。
 
台鐵表示，今一列由台東開往高雄莒光號列車，在新竹站發生車上冷氣配電盤過熱冒煙臭味，列車長疏散該車旅客約35人至月台，並改搭其他班區間車，該車廂經摘解後，原車晚52分續開往高雄，因此延誤影響車上旅客約250人行程，台鐵深致歉意，將依規定辦理全額退費。
 
台鐵說，該車第5車車號FPK10670為1968年製造，2004年曾辦理車體部分改造更新，疑因車上配電盤接觸器端子電線老化過熱所致，目前營運中客車約有2,200輛，其中有將近五分之一老舊車輛急需汰換，目前已規劃辦理後續整體車輛汰換採購計畫，規劃2年內完成採購約400輛新車，將分年交車。(李姿慧／台北報導)
