烏總統：提高生活水準 要學英語

法新社報導，烏克蘭總理波洛申科3日干冒進一步激怒俄國的風險，建議烏國學校不再教俄語，改成教英語，藉此提高該國的生活水準。

波洛申科說：「英語應該成為學校傳授的第二語言。」他還說：「民眾的生活水準和其英語知識有關。愈多烏克蘭人說英語，烏克蘭就會愈富有。」

俄語一向是烏克蘭的第二語言。烏國在語言上大致是：西部以烏克蘭語為主，東部以俄語為主。
