宏都拉斯棕櫚油夯 占農業投資逾5成

宏都拉斯積極發展農業，經濟部駐外單位指出，去年宏國政府挹注在農業部門投資達15億元宏幣，其中又以棕櫚油投資為大宗，投資額高達9.6億宏幣，占宏國政府農業投資5成以上。

經濟部駐外單位傳回訊息指出，當地媒體報導，2014年宏都拉斯政府農業投資達15億宏幣，種植棕櫚樹地區以臨大西洋沿岸省份為主，採收棕櫚油的投資金額高達9億6000萬宏幣。

不過經濟部指出，棕櫚油國際市場價格起伏甚大，成本效益難以估計。

值得注意的是，宏都拉斯雖然氣候適合種植大焦，卻僅有部分少數農民種植，而且宏都拉馬鈴薯種子也必須從加拿大等地進口馬鈴薯種子從事生產，這是宏都拉斯政府必須處理糧食安全的重大議題。
