YouTube收費計劃挑戰巨大 內容製作商仍持觀望態度

收費試點

上線8年后，YouTube已經成為全球最大的視頻網站。每天都有超過10億人通過該網站的100多萬個頻道觀看視頻。直到現在，無論是家裝方案、新聞剪輯，還是高校節目、音樂視頻，YouTube上的所有內容都完全免費。

但現在，這家隸屬於谷歌的網站計劃邁上一個新台階。5月初，YouTube推出了傳言已久的優質內容訂服務。

這項試點服務包含《國家地理》和《芝麻街》等50個頻道，目的是吸引觀花錢觀看最喜歡的節目。如果成功，YouTube還希望增加更多優秀頻道。該公司在推出這個項目時說：“只是個開始，我們還將在今後幾周更大範圍地推出付費頻道，為符合條件的合作伙伴提供自助服務。”

YouTube的目標是什麼？沃頓市場營銷教授約翰·張(John Zhang)認為，此舉意在對傳統電視和有線電視節目，以及Netflix、Hulu和亞馬遜Instant等流媒體服務構成更大的挑戰，與之爭奪更多的眼球、廣告和收入來源。這款視頻服務希望製作更多觀喜愛的高品質節目，從而吸引廣告主支付更多費用。允許藝人和製作方自主上傳收費內容，可以為他們提供更多的財務激勵，同時也能給YouTube帶來更加有利可圖的全新收入來源，突破目前單純依賴廣告的商業模式。據《商業周刊》報導，分析師估計，YouTube去年的廣告營收約為40億美元，2013年可達50億美元。

約翰·張曾經主講過YouTube的案例研究，他說：“YouTube現有模式的問題在於，隨上傳的內容越來越多，垃圾也將隨之增加，用戶很難找到有關係和感興趣的內容。另外，內容品質也的確參差不齊。如果我是廣告主，肯定不希望自己的品牌投放到品質低下的視頻中。廣告主想要更高的品質，所以YouTube需要制定分割戰略。”

當然，問題在於YouTube能否在不疏遠現有用戶的情況下，為付費內容開闢一條發展道路，畢竟原先的海量用戶都已經適應了免費觀看所有視頻。如果收費過高，觀人數勢必減少——YouTube的廣告營收也會隨之萎縮。

約翰·張和其他觀察人士認為，關鍵要看YouTube能開發出何種訂節目，以及具體的定價戰略。

“YouTube必須識別出不同類型的用戶，然后針對各種類型的用戶確定最有價值的收費模式。”沃頓市場營銷教授賈格莫漢·拉祖(Jagmohan Raju)說，“這可不容易。”他補充道，最大的挑戰是如何區分願意付費與不願付費的用戶。

另外，戰略決策的制定權並不完全掌握在YouTube手中。雖然YouTube的確在與願意提供訂服務的頻道密切合作，但這款視頻服務不會直接收取內容費用，也無法控制費用的數額。相反，該公司允許各大頻道直接對觀收費。無論費用多寡，YouTube之后都會從中抽取一定比例的分成。沃頓管理學教授丹尼爾·萊文索爾(Daniel Levinthal)認為，這種模式與蘋果公司類似——每當用戶從iTunes中下載應用或其他內容時，該公司也會從中抽取一定的分成。

【高佳菁／台北報導】日本今日舉行參議院選舉，安倍領軍的自民黨可望勝選，緊接著本周上場的TPP（跨太平洋戰略經濟夥伴關係協議）談判進度與9月日本申奧結果，有望成為利多題材，挹注日股向上動能。
 
ING日本基金經理人黃尚婷表示，日本景氣判斷訊號連續7月上修，並於2年半來首次顯示景氣回復，各項指標為安倍經濟學背書，也使21日的參議院選舉選情看俏，執政聯盟可望獲得半數席次，將更有利未來政策推行。

【短片】防蚊貼布　讓你在蚊子前完全隱形

【綜合報導】不用擦不用噴，只要貼上它，就能防止蚊子找上你。
 
加州大學河濱分校(University of California at Riverside)和嗅覺神經實驗室共同研究，研發出一款用無毒化合物製造的貼布，可阻隔人體呼出的二氧化碳，讓蚊子無法尋獲獵物，時效可達48小時，可貼在衣服或嬰兒車等任何想避免蚊子靠近的地方。

研究人員表示，有了這款防蚊貼布，將可有效預防瘧疾傳播，根據世衛統計，2012年因瘧疾死亡的人數高達66萬，不過其他調查則顯示實際數字高達120萬人，尤其以中西非國家最嚴重，集資網站indiegogo就發起慈善募款，只要樂捐35美金，就會贈送10塊貼布到烏干達，樂捐者也會收到10塊貼布等活動。
