馬州禁售嬰兒床圍墊

【大紀元2013年07月23日訊】（大紀元記者林一美國華盛頓DC綜合報導）從6月21日開始，馬里蘭州成為了全美國第一個在全州範圍內禁止銷售嬰兒床圍墊的州。衛生官員說，嬰兒床保險槓墊沒有任何作用，卻對嬰幼兒存在潛在的風險，包括導致窒息。馬州衛生部門指出，美國兒童科學會、美國疾病控制和預防中心、以及美國國立衛生研究院都不建議使用嬰兒床保險槓墊。
　　
該部門將對向馬里蘭州買主郵寄嬰兒床保險槓墊的商家發出警告。如果發現再次違規，將對每個出售的嬰兒床保險墊收取高達500美元的罰款。
　　
這項禁令並不適用於緊緊包裹在床欄上的垂直保險墊或者網狀搖籃襯墊，但衛生部門也不推薦這些產品。
