Samsung 高層日前已透露 9 月 4 日的 IFA 德國柏林消費性電子展中， Samsung 將發表 Galaxy Gear 智慧手錶。@evleaks 則是先洩漏了兩張 Gear manager 的管理介面，智慧型手機可透過 NFC 以藍牙方式與 Galaxy Gear 連線進行管理。

Samsung 將推出 Galaxy Gear 智慧手錶幾乎是確定的事。爆料大神 @evleaks 不止洩漏智慧型手機的消息，這回連 Galaxy Gear 智慧手錶也沒放過，根據兩張流出的「Samsung Gear manager」截圖來看，Galaxy Gear 智慧手錶將可透過 NFC 和藍牙方式與智慧型手機連線，手機先透過 NFC 與智慧手錶配對後，未來將會自動以藍牙進行連線。Gear manager 型號「SM-V700」也一併在截圖中曝光。

雖然從日前流出的規格中顯示 Galaxy Gear 將採用 Android 系統，不過從 Gear manager 截圖中可看到Galaxy Gear 可能將透過 「Samsung Apps」進行 App 的下載與安裝，顯示 Samsung 將採用自己的應用程式商店。另外，Galaxy Gear 也會有「Find my watch」功能，應該是類似 iPhone 的 Find my iPhone 功能。

目前謠傳 Galaxy Gear 規格將採用 Andorid（Jelly Bean）操作系統，搭載 2.5 吋的 OLED 顯示螢幕，解析度 320 x 320，並非先前謠傳的可繞式螢幕。將搭載雙核 1.5 GHz 處理器、1GB RAM，存儲空間將有 6GB / 8GB 兩種版本。400 萬畫素相機可拍攝 720p 規格影片，還配備了麥克風、加速度(Accelerometer)、藍牙 v4.0，電池續航力為 10 小時。
