英國做10萬人DNA密碼定序

英國首相卡麥隆31日宣布斥資三億鎊 (台幣150億元)測繪10 萬人的完整DNA密碼定序，使英國在癌症與罕見疾病的基因研究上領先世界。計畫主體是為7萬5000位癌症與罕見疾病患者及其近親的基因密碼定序，其中，病患的健康細胞與腫瘤細胞DNA都要測繪，亦即總共要為10萬人定序。卡麥隆說，計畫實現後，英國和全球對癌症、罕見疾病的診斷、治療都將有重大進展。
