世衛：賴比瑞亞會暴增數千伊波拉病患

英國廣播公司8日報導，世衛組織表示，賴比瑞亞的伊波拉病毒蔓延呈倍數成長，預料未來三周將暴增數千個新病例。

世衛說，傳統控制疫情的方法，「未能發揮適當效果」。世衛表示，在防止蔓延上，必須升高「三到四倍」的努力。

賴國是目前伊波拉病例最多的一國，病床嚴重不夠用。世衛說，以計程車運送感染病患顯然是病毒傳染的熱源。

伊波拉病毒今年於西非國家幾內亞、賴比瑞亞、獅子山、奈及利亞已造成逾2100人死亡，其中79人為公衛工作人員。這波疫情的死亡率是55%。
