北捷隨機殺人案新北地院10日開庭審理，檢辯雙方進行言詞辯論，鄭捷的辯護律師不斷引述，還主張鄭捷患有葛瑞夫茲氏症，應該要花時間教化而非判死刑，而檢方痛批鄭捷手段殘忍，向合議庭求處4個死刑與22個殺人未遂罪，全案預計於3月6日下午4時30分宣判。

鄭捷的辯護律師認為，鄭捷以「一刀斃命」的手法，未讓被害人受到殘暴痛苦，與其他殺人犯的方式相比輕微許多，另外，律師主張鄭捷患有葛瑞夫茲氏症，罹患此疾病的人遇到情緒障礙問題的可能性較高，因此在考量刑度時，也須審酌是否有教化可能性。

不過檢方認為鄭捷手段凶殘，為達到自己的目的而濫殺無辜，犯案後態度惡劣，遲遲不肯與受害者與受害者家屬道歉，因此向法官與合議庭求處4個死刑。

庭訊即將結束時，法官詢問鄭捷有沒有要表達意見，鄭捷低頭與律師說了幾句話之後，隨即開口大聲說：「對於我的行為，我已經無法彌補，如果可以，我願意接受心理諮商或輔導，如果可以出去，我不會再殺人。」
