魟魚交配 大跳「圓」舞曲

【李卉婷／屏東報導】屏東海生館體型最大的邁氏條尾魟，俯看身形似圓盤狀所以又名圓魟，日前海生館在白天發現到兩尾成熟大圓魟正在交配，魟魚用腹部互相磨蹭交配，雄圓魟待在雌圓魟身旁，確保雌圓魟順利受孕才離去，現場人員目睹驚喜不已：「就像在跳圓舞曲一般。」
 
海生館表示，因圓魟通常會在夜間進行交配，館方從資料上能夠知道圓魟的繁殖方式，卻始終沒機會看到交配的過程，這難得的畫面是13年來少數記錄到夜行性軟骨魚類交配的影像，兩尾圓魟交配時，就像在跳雙人圓舞曲般優雅美麗。
