微軟XP系統 宣布壽命延長

根據CNET科技網站報導，微軟(Microsoft)原本已經確定要在今年4月終止對Windows XP作業系統的所有支援，但卻在週三（15日）表示，會持續提供Windows XP系統內部的安全性更新，讓消費者可以使用到2015年7月14日，主要目的是為了幫助用戶完成系統轉換的過渡期。

據CNET報導，微軟發出聲明表示，2014年4月8日之後，「我們將不再為Windows XP提供技術支援。不過為了幫助用戶完成系統過渡，我們決定將Windows XP系統內部的安全性更新延期至2015年7月14 日。」

此外，聲明中也以微軟內部的研究指出，惡意程式防護軟體的有效性對於沒有支援的操作系統是「有限的」，因此為了讓客戶有更良好的保護解決方案，Windows XP的支援結束後，希望客戶可以對電腦進行升級或者購買可以執行最新作業系統的電腦。

美國市場研究公司Net Applications曾經在2013年公布數據顯示，網路流量排行第1的仍是Windows 7，市占率高達46.4%；第2名是Windows XP的31.4%。外界認為微軟此舉的目的是為了讓用戶停止依賴過去舊有的系統，一方面也為了提升Windows 7和Windows 8的市占率。
