本土品牌，連鎖藥妝商店「名佳美」驚傳將在9日吹熄燈號，民眾除了擔心會員的紅利點數與禮券無法使用，更惋惜這個陪他們長大的老店成為歷史。

20年前，在台南發跡之名佳美，無預警歇業，宣布從9日起，全省12家門市停止營業，4百多位員工資遣。8日時商店在店頭公布消息，消費者紛紛到門市將紅利點數換為贈品。

百貨業者感嘆，名佳美在創業後2年就擁有4家分店，全盛時期有20家分店，還成立物流倉庫，年營業額高達十億元。但從2013年開始，因連鎖藥妝品牌搶食大餅，市場競爭激烈，造成業績連年下滑，因此業者才決定停止營業，4百餘位員工的資遣費花了6千多萬。

名佳美臉書亦宣布此消息：因市場環境競爭激烈，公司決議辦理歇業，全省12家門市營業至民國103年3月9日止，門市受理會員兌換紅利點數至民國103年3月16日止，兌換時間為10時30分至18時，台南區請至開元店兌換，嘉義區請至興業店兌換。
