Lamigo桃猿與統一獅6日起在台南進行最後「割喉戰」，6日的第1戰桃猿由銳先發，獅隊則由費古洛主投；桃猿總教練洪一中5日還在為7日、8日兩戰的先發投手傷腦筋。

獅隊雖處於落後的劣勢，不過早早就已排好先發投手的輪值，等待桃猿南下，除了6日第一戰確定由費古洛先發，7日預定是馬帝斯，8日預定是潘威倫，王鏡銘則調牛棚，隨時上場支援。

桃猿僅確定6日第一戰由洋投銳先發，洪總表示「原本希望7日讓王溢正先發，8日許銘傑主投，但王溢正上周左手肘不適，狀況還不是很穩定，如果王溢正無法上場，7日之戰應該就會讓許銘傑先發」。
