林佳龍承諾做「大家的市長」

林佳龍當選台中新市長，晚上七點登台演說後，十點再度返回總部，向支持者與工作人員致意感謝，有激動的女支持者衝上去擁抱「林市長」，讓一向拘謹的他略顯尷尬。

他表示自己喜歡到處走，因此以後一定會做一個「大家看得見」的市長，他不僅會隨時到各區傾聽民意，還已答應三個月內再度到梨山區拜訪，「我要做的是大家的市長」。

他說，會一樣樣解決，找出十大民怨，還要簡化行政流程，以單一窗口服務，解決執照申請緩慢、路不平等民眾不滿事項，要讓人民對施政有感。
