油品安全問題層出不窮，教育部要求中小學指派專人掌握校內油品資訊，包括外訂團膳的用油，都必須隨時記錄。

福懋油脂廠爆出油品案，6項橄欖油品分別以芥花油混合，或混入大統生產疑摻有銅葉綠素及棉籽油橄欖油；頂新製油實業公司則有21項產品，進用大統公司的混合油，已被衛生福利部和和屏東縣衛生局要求下架。

因應一波又一波的風暴，教育部2週來3次進行中小學油品清查，要求學校落實餐飲場所自主管理，徹底停止使用問題油品。

教育部要求各學校指派專人，掌握油品安全資訊，校內廚房一定要定時記錄油品資訊，即便是外訂團膳盒餐，也必須不定期查訪抽查、驗收食材，留存完整記錄，必要時以契約做後盾，更換合作廠商。

最新一波爆發的油品問題以橄欖油為主，由於橄欖油價格偏高，中小學營養午餐較少使用，主要受波及的為大專外包餐廳業者，教育部要求各校增派人手，緊盯廠商用油狀況。
