UN呼籲　香港普選應開放

聯合國人權理事會23日發表聲明，呼籲中國允許香港普選可由公民提名候選人，而非由官方提名，稱香港政府應盡更多努力，確保民眾不僅有權可投票，也有權可參選，並要求就香港普選問題獲得進一步資料，以了解普選產生行政長官及立法會的特定辦法，包括投票權及被選舉權，以及如何合乎公民權利和政治權利國際公約。

人權理事會由18名專家組成。負責主持會議的專家在總結時表示，主要關注參選權利不會受到不合理的限制，理事會去年就香港進行普及平等選舉提出建議，中國上星期向委員會提交文件，指香港就詳細設計普選特首的辦法仍有分歧，特區政府將繼續盡力，尋求社會共識，實現2017年普選特首。

人權理事會成員表示，不滿意中國回覆，認為中方並無採取相應行動，給予香港政府2個月的時間回應，目前的問題是北京希望篩選候選人，理事會希望向中方施加壓力，希望他們能重新討論普選議題。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
