西班牙國王盃的決賽地點終於定案，就在諾坎普球場，巴塞隆納的決賽對手畢爾包競技，對於決賽辦在巴薩主場也表示同意，屆時巴薩將會分出一半座位讓予畢爾包球迷入場。

先前原本兩隊都想要今年的國王盃決賽在皇家馬德里主場舉辦，因為地點絕佳、場館容量大，不過沒晉級決賽的皇馬最終以青年隊比賽要用為由拒絕出借伯納烏。

巴薩與畢爾包競技都擁有輝煌的西班牙國王盃歷史，兩隊的奪冠次數分別是26次與23次佔據歷史一、二名，不過畢爾包上一次奪冠得追溯到1984年。皇家馬德里則是以19次排在第三。

今年是畢爾包競技在6年內第3度闖入國王盃決賽，前兩次都敗在巴薩手中，而巴薩在2012擊敗畢爾包競技奪冠後連續兩年無緣冠軍。

試圖在本賽季尋求西甲、歐冠、國王盃三冠王的巴塞隆納，與復仇者畢爾包競技間的大戰將在5月30日展開，兩強相碰勢必精彩可期。
