馬來西亞航空MH370班機自3月8日失聯至今已經第8天，馬來西亞首相納吉（Najib Razak）15日下午2點18分召開記者會，說明失聯航班搜尋進度。外電報導，記者會後馬國警方搜查馬航MH370失聯班機機師的住家。

納吉在記者會上證實，軍方雷達顯示一架不明飛機就是8日失蹤的馬來西亞航空公司MH370班機。他還說，當局正在2條空中「走廊」尋找失蹤班機，北方這一條大約是從哈薩克與土庫曼邊界，到泰國北部這個地帶；南路則大約是從印尼到印度洋南部。

納吉表示，調查進入新階段，重新將重點放在失蹤的馬航MH370機師和乘客。美聯社認為，納吉的談話證實，馬航班機消失並非意外。

根據路透社報導，就在記者會結束之後，馬來西亞警方搜索MH370失聯班機機師的住家。
