電子媒體、綠營內部民調顯示，國民黨基隆市長參選人謝立功落後民進黨林右昌近3成，謝立功努力翻轉選情，昨（1）日鎖定對手的捷運政策，火嗆「林右昌，麥夠騙啊」，要求辯論。

謝立功表示，真正一直欺騙基隆市民的人就是林右昌，所提出的板南線延伸方案，早就證明完全不可行，因為該條陸廊是高鐵預定地，根本無法作為捷運路線之用，林右昌明明一清二楚，卻一再端出這條「空氣捷運」唬弄市民，說謊臉不紅氣不喘，令人難以置信。這種說謊成性的候選人，必須用選票唾棄。

謝立功強調，「林右昌，麥夠騙啊」，也不要再成天幻想「躺著選就會上」。既然林右昌對於捷運這麼重視，那就站出來與他辯論，讓基隆市民看清楚誰的方案才可行。

謝立功對於交通建設的信心，有馬總統的加持。他昨天到國民黨中常會報告，提出4年內讓基隆捷運動工等政見。身兼黨主席的馬總統當場向交通部長葉匡時說，謝立功的政見很多都跟交通有關，「葉部長，你責無旁貸，全部都給我吃下來」。
